2anything

Terms

Terms of service

These terms cover the 2anything website and the 2anything macOS app. They include the legal notice required under Spanish law, the licence you get when you buy the app, and how payment, refunds, and liability work.

Version 2.0 · Effective 17 August 2026

1. Legal notice — who you are buying from

This information is published in accordance with Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI‑CE).

  • Trader: George-Bogdan Ivanov, self-employed (empresario individual / autónomo) registered in Spain
  • Tax identification number (NIF): available on request — email support@2anything.app and we will provide it
  • Business address: Calle Américo Vespucio 68, 35009 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain
  • Email: support@2anything.app (alternative: me@bogs.io)
  • Website: https://2anything.app

Throughout these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the trader named above. "You" refers to the person or organisation using the site or the app.

2. Scope

These terms apply when you browse this website and when you buy or use the 2anything app. By buying the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not complete a purchase.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Spanish or EU law. Where a clause here conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection that applies to you, that protection prevails.

3. The product

2anything is a file conversion application for macOS. It runs on your own computer and performs conversions locally. The formats and features available are described on the pricing page, and reflect the app as it exists at the time of purchase.

Marketing descriptions are given in good faith but are not a guarantee that every possible file, codec variant, or edge case will convert successfully. If the app does not perform as described, your statutory conformity rights in section 11 apply.

4. Licence

When you buy 2anything you are buying a licence to use the software. You do not acquire ownership of the software itself.

What the licence allows. Subject to these terms, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to:

  • install and use the app on computers that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes;
  • use the app's output — the converted files — without restriction. Files you convert are yours. We claim no rights in them.

What the licence does not allow. You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app or your licence key;
  • share your licence key publicly or with people outside your household or organisation;
  • remove or circumvent licensing, or distribute tools to do so;
  • present the app as your own product, or offer it as a hosted or third-party conversion service.

You may reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app only to the extent that applicable law gives you that right and it cannot lawfully be excluded — for example for interoperability purposes under Spanish and EU software law.

"Perpetual" means the licence does not expire. It covers the major version you purchased, including updates within that major version as described in section 8. A future major version may be a separate paid product.

5. Third-party and open-source components

The app includes third-party and open-source components, which remain subject to their own licences. Those licences govern those components and, where they grant you rights, nothing in these terms takes those rights away. Attribution and licence texts for included components are available in the app.

6. Price, taxes, and payment

The current price is shown on the pricing page. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Nothing recurring is charged.

Purchases are processed by Gumroad, which acts as our merchant of record. This means Gumroad is the seller of record for the transaction, handles payment, and calculates, collects, and remits applicable VAT, GST, and sales tax. Your payment card statement will show Gumroad rather than 2anything, and your invoice or receipt is issued by Gumroad.

Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. We never receive or store your full card details — see the privacy policy for what data we do receive.

Any consumer tax due is determined by your location, not ours, and is calculated by Gumroad at checkout. The total you pay is shown before you confirm the payment.

7. Delivery

The app is digital. There is no physical shipment. After your payment is confirmed, you receive a download link and a licence key by email, normally within a few minutes and in any event without undue delay.

The app validates your licence key over the internet when you activate it, and may re-check it periodically. Apart from that check and any update check, the app does not send your files or file contents anywhere. Conversions happen entirely on your computer.

If you do not receive your download or key, email support@2anything.app and we will resend it. Check your spam folder first.

8. Updates and support

Updates within your major version — including bug fixes, security fixes, and improvements — are included at no extra cost for as long as that version is supported. We do not commit to a specific release schedule or to adding any specific future feature.

Support is provided by email at support@2anything.app. This is a small independent operation, so we aim to reply within a few business days rather than offering guaranteed response times.

Because macOS and third-party formats change, an old version may eventually stop working on a newer macOS release. Where practical, we will say so before it happens.

9. Refunds and right of withdrawal

You have a statutory right of withdrawal, and we also offer a voluntary 30-day refund that is more generous than the statutory minimum. Both are explained in full on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.

10. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you convert. Do not use the app to infringe copyright, to circumvent technical protection measures on content you are not entitled to use, or for any unlawful purpose. Because the app runs locally, we have no visibility into your files — which also means we cannot recover them for you.

Keep your own backups. Conversion changes files, and some conversions are lossy. We are not responsible for data you did not back up.

11. Conformity, warranties, and your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in Spain or the EU, you have a legal guarantee that digital content conforms to what was described and works as it should, under the revised Spanish consumer law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, as amended by Royal Decree-Law 7/2021). If the app is faulty or does not match its description, you may ask us to bring it into conformity, and failing that you may seek a price reduction or terminate the contract and get a refund. These rights are free of charge and are in addition to the refund policy. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits them.

Beyond those statutory rights, and to the extent the law permits, the app is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will convert every possible file, or that it will meet a requirement we have not specifically agreed with you in writing.

If you are a business buying for purposes related to your trade or profession, consumer guarantees do not apply and the "as is" terms above apply in full.

This website is provided on the same basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee it will always be complete or uninterrupted.

12. Limitation of liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and for any liability that Spanish or EU consumer law does not allow to be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the app. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss or corruption of data or files, except where the law provides otherwise.

This clause does not affect your right to a refund under the refund policy or your conformity rights under section 11.

13. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends if you materially breach these terms — for example by redistributing the app or sharing your key publicly — and we may deactivate the key in that case. We will tell you why, and where the breach can be fixed we will give you a reasonable opportunity to fix it first.

A licence is also deactivated when a purchase is refunded, as described in the refund policy.

14. Intellectual property in the site

Unless stated otherwise, the writing, design, branding, and other original content on this website belong to George-Bogdan Ivanov. Please do not republish substantial parts of it as your own. Quoting with attribution and a link is welcome.

15. External links

Some pages link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those sites.

16. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something is wrong, email support@2anything.app first. Most problems are quicker to fix directly, and we would rather resolve a complaint than argue about it.

If we cannot resolve it, consumers in Spain can contact their local municipal consumer information office (OMIC) or the consumer authority of their autonomous community, and may be able to use the Spanish consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo). Consumers elsewhere in the EU can seek help from their national European Consumer Centre. You can always bring proceedings before the competent courts.

The European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available, so no link to it is provided.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, and the courts of Spain have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in another EU or EEA country, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the product or the law. The current version is always published on this page with its version number and effective date.

Changes are not retroactive: the terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in force when you bought. If a change materially affects an existing licence, we will notify buyers by email where we have a way to reach them.
